I am a daughter, sister and an aunt, but not a mom--that I know of! :):)

I started this live journal for the following reasons: to post my fanfic—I started with Smallville’s Chlex, moved onto H50/McDanno, discovered the various Sherlock Holmes fandoms specifically Johnlock, and I’m currently attempting to write in the superhero fandoms, both MCU and DC, specifically Supergirl, The Flash and Spider-Man—and to talk about my favorite TV shows/movies/books/Broadway plays, and to complain about life in general :):)

Regarding the MCU, I only like certain aspects of the X-Men movies and by that I mean I like the younger versions of the characters--not just because I love James McAvoy, which is true but I also love Patrick Stewart--I just really hate the whole Wolverine/Jean Grey/Cyclops triangle because it makes all of them look lame and pathetic and I end up disliking all three of the idiots.

I could appreciate both sides of the argument during the Civil War but I'm now firmly on Team Ironman and I think Steve is kind of a jerk, and while I do appreciate the Rogues showing up to fight in Infinity War, Steve and Tony definitely need to have a conversation about Steve’s keeping the truth from Tony about his parents’ death.. I absolutely adore Bucky Barnes and I like how much he's changed for the better in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier--I hope he meets up with Agatha Harkness because I could see them as a new MCU power couple.

The rebooted Star Trek films are wonderful but I also enjoy the original Star Trek series thanks to the 50th anniversary marathon BBC America ran in September 2016. The show is positively fabulous and it helps me to adore the alternate series movies just as deeply.

Any and all versions of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson are wonderful in my book: the Guy Ritchie movie version, the BBC Sherlock version, and now the Elementary version are all fascinating in their own right and all worthy of praise. I also include Enola Holmes in this group.

The Winchesters/Supernatural--I love that this show about demon hunting brothers is such a multi-layered family drama and not just a show about hot men fighting supernatural badness. However, I do not like the show's depiction of Purgatory and what is up with angels being expelled from Heaven? YIKES! I hope the final episodes of season fifteen have a fitting ending for this great show. ETA: the ending was horrendous.

I do adore musical theater and plays but I have to admit to being a bit of a snob when it comes to which plays I will pay money to see. For example, I won't see the musical Ghost or Saturday Night Fever--I already paid $10 to see it at the movies, why would I pay $80 to see a live version of it?
